Ένα σοκαριστικό περιστατικό σημειώθηκε σε λεωφορείο που μετέφερε εργαζόμενους της ΔΕΗ στην Πτολεμαΐδα, όταν ο 56χρονος οδηγός υπέστη έμφραγμα κατά τη διάρκεια της διαδρομής προς τον Ατμοηλεκτρικό Σταθμό στον Άγιο Δημήτριο. Χάρη στην ψύχραιμη αντίδραση ενός νεαρού επιβάτη που ανέλαβε τον έλεγχο του οχήματος, αποφεύχθηκε σοβαρό ατύχημα.
Το λεωφορείο μετέφερε εργαζόμενους της ΔΕΗ όταν ο οδηγός αισθάνθηκε ξαφνική αδιαθεσία και έχασε τις αισθήσεις του. Η επιβάτιδα Ευαγγελία Μιχαηλίδου, που μίλησε στον ραδιοφωνικό σταθμό Status FM 107.7, περιέγραψε τις δραματικές στιγμές: «Ο οδηγός υπέστη έμφραγμα και ανακοπή», ανέφερε, τονίζοντας τη σημασία της γρήγορης αντίδρασης ενός νεαρού συναδέλφου που βρέθηκε στο λεωφορείο και κατάφερε να σταματήσει το όχημα με ασφάλεια.
Η κα Μιχαηλίδου εξήγησε πως το λεωφορείο ξεκίνησε κανονικά στις 6 το πρωί και στις7 βρίσκονταν ήδη στη δουλειά. «Ο οδηγός ήταν καλά μέχρι εκείνη τη στιγμή», τόνισε, προσθέτοντας ότι το περιστατικό έγινε αντιληπτό από τους επιβάτες όταν το όχημα σταμάτησε στην άκρη του δρόμου.
Μία επιβάτιδα που καθόταν μπροστά πρόσεξε τη δυσφορία του οδηγού και φώναξε για βοήθεια, ενώ το νεαρό άτομο που ανέλαβε το τιμόνι κατάφερε να διαχειριστεί την κατάσταση. Η μαρτυρία τονίζει τη σημασία της γρήγορης και ψύχραιμης αντίδρασης σε τέτοιες κρίσιμες στιγμές.
Ο 56χρονος οδηγός, πατέρας δύο κοριτσιών, ήταν γνωστός στους εργαζόμενους της ΔΕΗ, καθώς διατηρούσε καθημερινή επαφή μαζί τους στη γραμμή μεταφοράς προσωπικού. Η είδηση του θανάτου του έχει σοκάρει την τοπική κοινότητα.
Ο Σάκης Μάστορας, γενικός γραμματέας του σωματείου εργαζομένων «Σπάρτακος», επιβεβαίωσε μέσω του Status FM 107.7 ότι παρά τις προσπάθειες ΚΑΡΠΑ διάρκειας 45 λεπτών από τους γιατρούς, ο οδηγός δεν κατάφερε να επανέλθει και κατέληξε.
